Premal Shah - President, Kiva.org Premal Shah is President of Kiva.org – a website that lets you make $25 micro-loans to low-income entrepreneurs around the world. Kiva raises $1 million every 10 days for the working poor and was named as a Top 50 website by TIME magazine in 2008. Prior to Kiva, Premal spent 6 years at PayPal, an eBay company where he began to develop his thinking on how the internet could expand microfinance. Premal started his career as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman in New York. He was an invited speaker at the Clinton Global Initiative and was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in Davos. His most surreal experience was carrying the Olympic Torch for the 2008 Summer Games. Premal graduated with a degree in Economics from Stanford University. Amy J. Errett - Chair of the Board of Glide Foundation, Venture Capitalist of Maveron, Former CEO of Olivia.com Amy J. Errett brings more than 25 years of experience as a leading edge entrepreneur, senior executive and social mission visionary. Her domain has been varied throughout her career from the online Web 2.0 media industry, to the off-line consumer marketplace, and even to volunteer, non-profit leadership. Most recently, Errett spent five years as CEO and partial owner of Olivia repositioning the company as a lifestyle destination for lesbians while multiplying revenues from $6 million to an expected $25 million this year. Still positioned as the number one travel company for lesbians, Errett transformed Olivia into a lifestyle media and lifestyle brand by launching the first lesbian affinity credit card, expanding the company''s entertainment offerings and created lucrative partnership programs for Fortune 500 companies to reach directly into the lesbian market. She also branched out into media and direct content by developing a Web 2.0 social-networking website and community for lesbians, the first of its kind in the marketplace. Olivia''s reach, including all touch points, and is an estimated 2.5 million women across the globe, making it the primary hub for the lesbian community. Errett has done a great deal of consulting and advisory work in the commerce, community and content Web 2.0 space. She has worked on start up projects in the green space,content sites in the boomer market, social networking spaces including group technology, profiles, dating as well as micro mapping,GPS applications and the affinity group market. In 2006, Errett, along with Olivia’s founder was chosen as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Northern California. Olivia also won a WEBBIE award from the SF Chamber of Commerce as the leading growth business of the Year. That same year, and for the second consecutive rating period, Olivia received a 100% from the Human Rights Campaign''s Corporate Equality Index, as well as inclusion in the annual list of the best companies to work for in America. Prior to joining Olivia in 2002, Errett founded and served as chair and CEO of The Spectrem Group, a worldwide strategic consulting, information and M&A advisory firm. She sold Spectrem to an IPG subsidiary, NFO Worldwide (NYSE: NFOW) in 1996. After the sale, Errett joined E*Trade as a member of the senior management team where she diversified the company''s business beyond brokerage by leading E*Trade into growth areas , managing their business to business stock option division and launched a successful asset-based products and investment management services division. In addition, Errett has dedicated herself to supporting humanitarian organizations. She is the chair of the board of Glide Foundation, San Francisco''s largest non-governmental, direct social service organization. Formerly a member of the national board of the Human Rights Campaign, she now serves on the Wharton West Advisory Board. Among her citations is the Israel Fellows Award by the San Francisco-based Jewish Community Federation. Errett is also an active member of the alumni associations of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Connecticut. She is an active member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) in Northern California. A New York native, Errett earned an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a BA in Liberal Arts from the University of Connecticut. She and her partner, Clare, live in San Francisco with their four-year-old daughter, Madison. Mark O''Leary- Regional Vice President of Comcast Business Class Over the last 24 years, Mark has held various executive positions in the telecommunications, cable, software and networking industries. Mark’s career includes VP/GM roles in Fortune 500 companies and as CEO of venture-backed start-ups in the technology sector. In these roles, he has had a track record of successfully scaling companies and business units in high growth environments. Mark is currently the Regional Vice President for Business Services for Comcast in Central California. In this capacity, Mark is responsible for building a B2B organization that will provide data, telecommunications and video products to the commercial market. Prior to joining Comcast, Mark was Founder of Phi Performance Systems, a consulting firm that worked with technology companies in aligning overall execution with corporate strategy. Mark was also CEO of HCORP, a health care applications company that provided in-hospital patient and clinical applications via a broadband content network. After establishing early market leadership in their segment, Mark sold HCORP in 2002. Prior to HCORP, Mark served as CEO of Euclid Inc. where he and his team in the US and India brought to market a suite of IT Operational Support System (OSS) software and services to provide large commercial IT departments visibility into their service delivery quality and true cost of IT resources by product, LOB or customer. Mark also served as the Executive Vice President of Broadband Services at Excite@Home responsible for the $450 Million @Home and @Work business units. Mark’s responsibilities included, P&L, Operations, Sales and Marketing, Product Development and overall Service Delivery of consumer and commercial Internet products. In this capacity, Mark and his team scaled the Excite@Home’s consumer broadband Internet base from 1.8 to 3.6 Million subscribers, resulting in the largest broadband Internet network in existence. Mark spent 19 years with AT&T in various executive and management positions including Vice President of Managed Network Services, Director of Global Technical Marketing and GM of National Accounts. In these capacities Mark was one of the principals of the transformational management of AT&T Business Services that led to it’s market leadership in the data services industry. MC: Edith Yeung, Founder of BizTechDay Edith Yeung is the creator and producer of BizTechDay – one of the largest business-technology conferences serving the small business community held annually in San Francisco. Edith is passionate about connecting and bringing business owners together and helping them succeed. Edith has appeared and been quoted on CBS, CNN, Comcast and SethGodin.com. She is the organizer for two San Francisco Entrepreneur Meetups with over 2100 members. She serves on the board for San Francisco Small Business Week 2009 and for Pathways for Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching entrepreneurship skills to underprivileged youths. Edith is also cofounder and CEO of Clue Market, a marketing and education firm. Prior, she consulted with numerous Fortune 500 companies including AT&T Wireless, Oracle, Siebel, Autodesk, Cisco Systems, Symantec, American Management Systems (AMS), Telstra Australia, Matav Hungary Telecom and Taiwan Semi-Conductor. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Edith moved to the United Stated by herself at the age of 16. She survived the culture shock with minimum English and earned her B.S. at Purdue University in Industrial Management with a focus on Information Systems and Marketing. Edith has led many lives: pianist, square dancer, software engineer, corporate slave, road warrior, consultant and entrepreneur.
